Policies and Procedures

Standing Orders and Financial Regulations:

Standing orders are the written rules of a local council. Standing orders are essential to regulate the proceedings of a meeting. A Parish Council may also use Standing Orders to confirm or refer to various internal organisational and administrative arrangements. The Standing Orders of a Parish Council are not the same as the policies of a Parish Council but Standing Orders may refer to them.

Financial Regulations govern the financial management of the Parish Council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the Parish Council. They are one of the Parish Council’s governing documents and shall be observed in conjunction with the Parish Council’s Standing Orders.
